Is all your furniture made from solid wood?
Our product is made from the highest grade maple and white pine. Our woodshop uses only kiln-dried wood in a moisture controlled environment.

Do you make your own furniture?
Farmhouse has its own workshop located within our Furniture Showroom located at 1098 Marine Drive, in Vancouver BC. Our cabinet makers take great pride in using time-tested and proven techniques to build furniture. Our suppliers for our upholstered pieces are selected based on quality of the highest standards, reliability and strong working relationships. This enables Farmhouse to pass on quality pieces to our valued clientele.

Is there a choice of colours and finishes?
We offer a wide selection of stains and a custom-match colour service to match your existing furniture. We also offer unique faux finishes, hand rubbing techniques and many levels of distressing.

How would you compare Maple and Pine?
Solid Pine and solid Maple will stand up to wear and tear and generations of use. Maple is a hardwood and very durable. The grain is fine, and relatively knot free, which fares well for casual or formal looks. It is especially good for heavy use. Pine shows its wear beautifully as you can see in the easing of edges in older pieces, and will develop a fine patina and character with time. To choose between pine or maple would be based on style, function and esthetic.

How long does it take to process my order?
It usually takes from 6 to 10 weeks depending on the item(s) ordered.

What type of finish is used to protect my new furniture?
Farmhouse uses latex paint on our hand painted furniture. Our stained wax finishes produce an outstanding patina on our tables and counter tops.

Do you offer refinishing?
Refinishing is an art and Farmhouse is proud to provide you with this service. We hand-strip - not bath soak - since soaking in a bath can damage the wood and original finishes. We can also re-finish non Farmhouse furniture using Farmhouse finishes.

How do I care for my furniture?
Farmhouse furniture is almost maintenance-free. We carry a line of quality furniture waxes to keep your furniture in excellent condition.
